Petal Series

The Petal Series features the Petal 15, Petal 18, and Petal 133 Neckwears, as well as the Petal Wristwear. As their names suggest, the neckwears are crafted from 15, 18, and 133 individual pieces of laser-cut kid leather, respectively, and are meticulously hand-assembled without the use of glue or stitching. Once assembled, the neckwears are soaked in hot water, causing each petal to curl and the connectors to swell, forming tighter joints. These petal neckwears embody the intersection of primitive materials and advanced techniques—a tension that often drives many of Yeh Design Lab’s wearable projects. The Petal 133 is particularly designed to frame around the wearer’s face, neck and jawline. Its upward-pointing “tentacles” project and redirect the attention to the facial features while the main body of the neckwear forms and moves around the wearer’s neck and shoulder. All clasps in the Petal Series are seamlessly integrated into the leather components without the need for any hardware.
